ALFAMA

Alfama, long known as the popular heart of the city, Alfama, embodies the Lisboa soul in being the home of the Moorish past of Lisbon, with its labyrinthine streets between the Castle and the riverside. Every year the Santos Populares Festival stretches out through June, the city is strengthened and all the inhabitants of the city come together to eat local sardines and have a beer. Alfama is the most typical and famous neighborhood of the city, with small buildings and narrow streets, typical restaurants and stunning hidden properties.
